This was well played & well written. It always is but the CW history connections were a plus. Why does no one mention the NYRB anymore? It is always the LRB?
So, full disclosure: I subscribed to the New Yorker because they gave me a truly phenomenal discount. And I just received a bargain I couldn't refuse from the NYRB. So I'm now a proud subscriber to the NYRB as well! I guess the LRB is the only periodical I'll pay full price for.
Have to look at the LRB again. NYRB has lost a few steps IMHO. Perhaps that is why a regular subscription no longer incudes access to a rich trove of archives dating to 1964?? Full access is expensive but.. valuable to me. Glad you are writing re CW and doing it so well. I am a long term supporter, visitor, of CW NYC

I am a long term follower, supporter, visitor, of CW NYC and have read it's lit, history, etc. it is truly a remarkable non-organization...
